A Day at the Met

I spent yesterday at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I ignored the everything else and went right for the musical instrument collection hoping to see something new to me and about the only thing really interesting was a double manual Bosendorfer piano.

After that it went to to my favorite painting school, the Impressionists. I'll share three of my favorites.

I love Monet's waterlily series.

My daughter started her stage career as a dancer, so Degas' Little Dancer holds special meaning for me.

I've been trying to make it to Chicago to see Seurat's A Sunday on La Grande Jatte for some time, so imagine my delight on finding that the Met had one of the studies.
