I never thought I'd be writing that headline on the blog, but if the Wall Street Journal says it, it must be so.
In truth it comes down to some simple ideas.
1. Children need rituals.
2a. Children need their own space. Respect it.
2b. Children need to know you have your own space and respect it.
3. Children need to make their own mistakes.
4. Don't hover over your kids trying to make everything "alright."
Read the article. If you disagree, don't have kids or you'll be part of the problem. If you agree, have kids. You can be part of the solution.
