Cut Your Own Vinyl Phonograph Record

From Gizmag comes an announcement of the arrival of desktop vinyl record production. That's right, soon you'll be able create your own examples of low-fidelity, limited dynamic range, easy-to-ruin, obsolete media that was the preferred method of listening to music employed by the 1960's era teenager.

Until 8-track tapes came around. Oh, and then cassettes.

Having seen the recording industry go from analog to digital, up close and personal like, I'll stick to digital media with high sample and bit rates.

Oh and the cost of this wonderful new (old) technology? $6,500 right now, but the aim is to bring is down to $3,500.
